Special Team Of Role Models

The Team Focus Leadership Program is an opportunity for motivated students to improve individual techniques and teaching skills while sharing their enthusiasm, learning, and experience with fellow students. Let's meet the S.T.O.R.M. team!

Montserrat Morales

I am interested in being on the S.T.O.R.M. team because I would like to learn more about being patient with kids. I also think that I would eventually want to be a teacher and I would like to learn more about kids. I feel that this will be a great opportunity to learn more about karate. I would also like to be part of the S.T.O.R.M. Leadership team because the Burlingame dojo has made a great impact on my life. I would like to help kids understand what they are learning and I hope that I can be a great leader and help kids with whatever they need.

I am interested in STORM because I want to help other people with their stuff and I like the feeling of helping other people. And I also want to learn how to be a leader.

I am interested in STORM because when I was first invited, I was unsure and I tried it. It was a lot of fun and it was a good experience.

I want to become better with my skills, which I think will improve through teaching. I also think building leadership skills will be very helpful. I want to help others younger with what I know.

Alex Gratch

I am interested in S.T.O.R.M. Team because it will help improve my leadership and teaching skills. These skills I can use in school as well as the dojo. I would also get to spend more time at the studio helping others. I also love to teach other kids what I have learned. I think I will be a good example for other kids. These are the reasons I would like to be on the S.T.O.R.M. Team.

Lucas Jang

I enjoy teaching kids and watching them learn and develop. I have fun working with them and other students. I have also done this before and it was so much fun. The kids are so fun to work with. I hope I can help the kids develop and learn.

Cole Fletchall-Silva

I am interested in becoming part of the S.T.O.R.M. Leadership Program because I have observed that being able to explain or teach something helps you understand a subject at a deeper level, which I know will help me with my own karate skills. Also, the Burlingame Dojo has become a community for me and this opportunity gives me a way to give back.

Joel Arceneaux

I would like to develop my skills as a leader. I would also like to learn how to be the one helping and guiding my classmates.

Ryan Twohy

I want to be part of the STORM team because I really want to learn more and get better at martial arts. Also, I very much want to improve a skill I think I am lacking in: leadership ability.

I like teaching/helping people with things that I am passionate about. One reason that I am interested is that this is something that I've wanted to do since I was nine years old. I always thought it would be cool to help people with their karate. Another reason is that I want to get better. Although gradual improvement takes patience, it is totally worth it. Lastly, I just love karate and this Dojo is basically my second home. I've been here for quite some time now and I just want to do whatever I can to help, clean or whatever else I need to do. Thank you for this opportunity!

Brandon Hoang

I want to be part of the STORM team because it will help me gain self-confidence and leadership skills. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with others students and helping them if they need it. STORM will benefit me in every way possible, in both martial arts and all the other aspects of my life.
