Greg Shraiman

Chief Instructor

My greatest inspirations are my students. They are the strongest motivation I have. By watching them learn, achieve their goals, seeing them conquer obstacles, and solve problems makes me better and inspires me to keep doing what I am doing.
I have a few heroes in my life. First and always, have been my parents. They have guided me to the person I am today. My martial arts hero, and the main reason I am in Martial Arts, is Bruce Lee. I am sure he is the icon for many people all over the world because of his dedication, not just in his training, but also his teachings and introduction of Martial Arts. I always believed that who we are, is not just what we do today, but how we will be remembered by others. I would like to be remembered by my students as the person who helped them become good and successful in their lives.

Special Team Of Role Models

Diya Mittal

Assistant Instructor

Hi, my name is Diya and I am a sophomore in high school. I joined martial arts when I was 11

years old and have loved every minute. Karate has helped me channel my energy into physical progress and skill. When I first started martial arts I was very shy and needed to learn self control. Martial arts has taught me discipline and focus, and given me confidence in my abilities. I joined the STORM team 3 years ago. The reason I joined STORM was because I wanted to help other kids experience the same joy and growth that I experienced while doing karate. STORM has given me confidence, and pushed me to grow in ways I never thought possible. I love working with kids and seeing their faces light up when they figure out something they have been struggling with. I want to give the kids the same joy I felt when I first stepped on to the floor and was welcomed. The wonder when I was handed my white belt, and the pride when I was handed all the next ones. When I think about karate, I don’t think about the first kenpo I learned, or the last one, or all the ones in between, I think of eleven year old me when I first bowed in, and the moment I knew that my life would be forever intertwined with karate. For me, STORM isn’t just about teaching, it’s about giving back to the place that has given me so much

David Kracke

Assistant Instructor
I joined USSD when I was six, I joined to be more active and meet others outside of school. I stayed because I fell in love with the environment. I joined the STORM team a few years ago because I wanted to help the others and help the dojo grow as a whole. Since joining the STORM Team I’ve found out that the best way to learn new material is to teach it.

Esha Mittal

Jr. Assistant

Hi, my name is Esha! I joined karate when I was 8 and I joined the STORM team when I was 12 years old and since then, I have learned how to be a leader and take on more responsibilities. I joined the STORM team because I really like working with kids and helping them become more confident.

Arjun Sharma

Jr. Assistant

Arjun, I joined karate to learn how to defend myself. When I was only 5 I joined ussd and I enjoyed it forever and always will. I’m smart, weird and different and enthusiastic. I'm a green belt and I’m trying to become a green brown. The reason I joined Storm was to improve on myself and to help others improve like I wanted to. I also love to do push ups.

Veer Choudhary

My name is Veer Choudhary. I joined Martial arts about a year ago. The reason why I joined was because I saw kids practicing it outside, and they looked so confident. So strong. I wanted to feel that way. I also thought that learning self defense would be helpful in life generally. Since then, I have realized that Martial arts has made me calmer, much more responsible, and more disciplined than I ever was. I just recently joined S.T.O.R.M. I thought that it would be a nice method to experience martial arts from a different perspective: the teaching perspective. Since then, I have realized it has boosted my responsibility skills, and has taught me how to be patient.
